I have a Bird in spring
Which for myself doth sing -
The spring decoys.

My ascended feeder is emerging
Which does apply to my works
The new pretends

And as the summer nears —
And as the Rose appears,
Robin is gone.

And as it becomes clearer
And as the fruit comes out
The bird has left.

Yet do I not repine
Knowing that Bird of mine
Though flown —

Still, I didn't sorrow (from the pines)
Understanding that facade of mine
although from a past time

Learneth beyond the sea
Melody new for me
And will return.

Those that have learned from behind the veil
catch my new lines
And I will have a story to tell

Fast in a safer hand
Held in a truer Land
Are mine —

Kept by a higher authority
Locked in the reality
Am I -

And though they now depart,
Tell I my doubting heart
They’re thine.

And now that I have spoken,
I truly wonder
If you experience the same.

In a serener Bright,
In a more golden light
Isee
Each little doubt and fear,
Each little discord here
Removed.

In a more peaceful time,
In a richer mind
I imagine
The problems being solved
and the chaos being removed.

Then will I not repine,
Knowing that Bird of mine
Though flown
Shall in a distant tree
Bright melody for me
Return.

Then I will not sorrow
Understanding that facade of mine
although from a past time
Shall in a future blossom
Will be a great comfort for me
in return.
